The authors aim to retrospectively evaluate their experience with the diagnosis and surgical resection of esophageal gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs). Surgery is the standard, effective and successful treatment for esophageal GISTs. Long–term follow–up is required to monitor recurrence and metastasis.
