1. In what way/s does information technology affect the nursing practice applications?

Explain each. - The information technology affect the nursing practice application because nursing informatics applications have increased significantly within the past few years. Nurses must now face the vast challenge of learning and working within the age of technology. Information technology influences the manner in which nurses practice, how they are educated, and the methods of providing and documenting patient care. In addition, advances in information technology have also become an integral link to staff development and continuing education. Nursing administrators have begun to utilize informatics applications to assist with staffing, managing budgets and disseminating information.

2. It is said that the 6th step of the nursing process is the nursing documentation. Why do you think it was given importance in the nursing informatics? Defend your answer.

- The six step of the nursing process is assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation .The importance in the nursing informatics, their scope of practice may include participation in the planning, design, implementation and evaluation of electronic health records in health system organizations. They play a vital role in the application of information systems in analyzing and researching clinical and administrative performance analytics. And they assist in the integration of information technology into the workflow of nurses.

3. Why is it that 'collaborating with the health care team' and 'technology' would be critical for the healthcare industry?

- Collaborating with the health care team and technology is important because it also predicts that collaboration and technology would become critical elements of the healthcare industry of the future have proven to be true as healthcare systems have struggled with the interdisciplinary challenges of implementing and expanding clinical information system.

4. What are the advantages of having informatics technology in the nursing practice?

- The advantages of having informatics technology in nursing practice is all about on how to use information technologies to enhance one’s own knowledge base, teach patients about health care technologies, use appropriate technology to assess and monitor the patients and use information and communication technology to document and evaluate patient care, advance patient care and enhance the accessibility of care.

5. If there was no nursing informatics developed in the history, how do you see the nursing practice now?

- Without nursing informatics developed in the history, what happened to our nursing practice. Because it is important to having nursing informatics also because NI also has been defined broadly either with a focus on the technologic aspects, on the concepts of nurses interacting with technology to produce greater knowledge, or on the role of nurses who specialized in developing applications of technology to nursing practice.
